It was a fight between the Igala's and the Fulani's in Idah village in Kogi state. Eleojo and Abalaka who happened to be Igala's and childhood friends were warriors and as well fully involved in the inter tribal war.
As the war between them and the Fulani's became intense,the duo decided to look for a faster means of conquering the Fulani's at all cost. One thursday evening,Eleojo told Abalaka "E get am for one ogbonge priest wey dey down this road wey fit prepare concoction for us wey be say if dem shoot us,e no go enter". "Voodoo bullet proof" he(Eleojo) added. "Ehen? Ehnn...oya na,make we go" Abalaka responded as he grabbed his shirt and they made their way down the road.
AT THE VOODOO PRIEST'S SHRINE
Priest: Yes,how I fit help una?
Eleojo: Ermmmm....baba,we hear say you get some ogbonge odeshi wey be say if dem shoot person e no go enta daz why we come.
Abalaka: Yes baba daz why...he added
The voodoo priest told them to have their seats outside as he got busy for the next 2hours inside. After 2hours,he called them in and gave them each concoctions one after the other in a calabash. After drinking it,they asked him how they were going to ascertain that the concoction he gave them was real and will work. He(the voodoo priest) suggested that they should bring a chicken so that they will conduct the test on the chicken.
The following day,they brought a chicken and the concoction was given to the chicken to drink. After 30 minutes,they asked that the chicken be shot to see if the concoction will truly work. A gun was brought out and "Gboooooaaa!!!" the chicken was shot. The chicken immediately fell to the floor and died. Seeing this,they(Eleojo and Abalaka) were both surprised and frightened. They then asked the voodoo priest"why the chicken die nau?". He said "maybe because say na chicken" Eleojo then said "Ok,I go volunteer myself make we test am for my body". The priest agreed and they brought him (Eleojo) to the middle. Eleojo positioned his chest well and told the priest to target his chest, "Gboooooooaaaaaa!!!" Baba shot and Eleojo dropped dead immediately.
