PRIDE

    Happy easter friends! How are you guys doing? Bet you are enjoying your easter break? Sure some of you will be attending the Lagos carnival today and few others will be visiting "Galilee" to meet with "Jesus" or visit fun places while the remaining of us like me will be home eating chicken...LOL. Just enjoy yourself in whichever way that suits you.
 
   Yeeah...without westing (wasting) time,we'll be discussing PRIDE today and I'll express or explain to you what I perceive and think of the word PRIDE. I used to think PRIDE is only if anyone feels or thinks they are superior to somebody else or a particular set of people. But got a change of perception as I grew in understanding that even when you feel you are not up to someone's standard or think someone or a particular set of people are superior to you (Inferiority, we call it),it means you are also proud and not different from the person who is feeling,thinking or acting superior to you cos God created us all equal. A simple case study is the common saying among girls and I'm also guilty of this (I won't lie cos I do it too often...LOL),when you complement most Nigerian babes by saying "You are beautiful" the babe becomes so flattered that she doesn't know what to say and the next thing that comes out of her mouth is (*first she laughs* then will reply you with "you are not serious" or "I'm not beautiful o" or *who is beautiful? If you see beautiful girls,you will know I'm not beautiful *) does that mean you the BEHOLDER is blind? Is it not a popular saying that "beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder"? *I tire for most Naija babes o*Its simply inferiority complex which is also PRIDE and its bad. "What is bad is bad;it has no synonym" *Yoruba adage*.So,if you think you are inferior to someone or superior to somebody,you are PROUD and remember what the BIBLE speaks of the PROUD? It says and I quote "Pride goeth before a fall". Yes! Irrespective of your status...You might be rich and proud (Take heed lest ye fall) and If you are poor and feel inferior(pride) you will soon fall flat and finally.
  Be yourself and don't pretend to be what you are not. The Bible says the "humble in heart will be elevated" and that's the key to SUCCESS, HUMILITY.
